Statement on COVID-19 Situation in Italy

In the light of the recent events concerning the presence of corona virus in Italy, please see below the official statement of the Italian ECU member FICEC.

“Following the current situation regarding the COVID-19 here in Italy,
we want to reassure our international friends and partners.

We are in constant communication with the Italian Health Ministry, the Italian National Olympic Committee, as well as the ECU and the ICU. At the moment we are facing a 7 days precautionary suspension of sports activities in the northern Regions of Italy, but there are no indications at this time that this suspension will be extended further after it reaches its deadline on March 1st, 2020.

Therefore, both the Gardaland Ficec Cheer Open and the ICU Europeans 2020 should not be affected in anyway. We thank you for all the supporting messages we are receiving from you and we will continue to keep you informed.”
