5th ECU RULES CONFERENCE 2016
16th to 19th September 2016 – Berlin, Germany
2016 will host two rules conferences, caused by the new agreement with ICU that the competition rules will be ready and available by end of August each year.
The Berlin conference will look into the rules for 2017 and is organized by ECU in cooperation with ICU.
16 September – Safety Rules training for Cheerleading
16 September in the evening – ECU Rules Round table
17 & 18 September – ICU Judges Course for Cheerleading and Cheerdance (in parallel)
19 September – Safety Rules training for Cheerdance

4th ECU RULES CONFERENCE 2016
27th & 28th February 2016 – Vienna, Austria
The 4th ECU Rules Conference was held on the weekend of the 27 and 28 February 2016 in Vienna, Austria. The conference is supported by the ICU that provided their best instructors and lecturers to bring everybody up to date with the current cheerleading and cheer dance competition rules.
More than 60 participants from 25 member federations participated in the conference.
3rd ECU RULES CONFERENCE 2015
28th & 29th February 2015 – Vienna, Austria
The aim of the 3rd ECU Rules Conference was to host safety rules workshops for both cheerleading and cheer dance in order to enhance the understanding and consistent interpretation of those rules. With rules experts from the ICU that are responsible for the interpretation of the rules and training of safety judges on the international level, it was possible to guide the participants through the rules in a systematic approach and to have questions on legality and safety of elements answered authoritatively.
Participants from 17 member countries (Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine) attended Cheerleading workshop (45 participants) and Cheerdance workshop (38 participants). Additionally 32 participants attended the Round Table discussion that is closed for ECU members.
2nd ECU RULES CONFERENCE 2014
22th & 23th Febrary 2014 – Vienna, Austria
The aim of the 2nd ECU Rules Conference was to host safety rules workshops for both cheerleading and cheer dance in order to enhance the understanding and consistent interpretation of those rules. With rules experts from the ICU that are responsible for the interpretation of the rules and training of technical judges on the international level, it was possible to guide the participants through the rules in a systematic approach and to have questions on legality and safety of elements answered authoritatively. 1st ECU RULES CONFERENCE 2013
16th & 17th Febrary 2013 – Vienna, Austria
ECU and host national federation – Austrian Cheerleading Association – had managed to successfully organize the 1st ECU Rules Conference that was held in Vienna on 16th and 17th of February 2013. More than 40 participants from 15 countries had enjoyed the hospitality of one of the most beautiful historic cities in Europe and had the chance to participate on the rules workshops that were conducted by the top rated rules expert from USA. Saturday evening rules discussion forum gave all national representatives the chance to talk about the future development of the competition rules in Europe and worldwide.
